I was thinking about Agatha Christie recently and how amazing she was! She wrote over 90 stories and books her entire life. Amazing really - so prolific!
When I was around nine or ten, my older brother who was 13 or 14 then, got really into reading her books. It was the only time I ever saw him with his head stuck in a book. He was really skinny and getting taller every day. He could eat a whole stack of pancakes - anywhere from 8 to 12 at a time - and you would never see it! Ha ha. Nice eh?
Anyways, he was excited about her books and told me one of the plots. I was intrigued and started reading. I enjoyed the Hercule Poirot series. My brother had about 14 books or so. I read them all! Then I went and read the rest of the Poirot collection at my uncle's house. He also had Agatha Christie's short stories and Miss Marple books.
There were a few Poirot detective novels that were my favorites back and I also enjoyed some of her short stories.
Agatha Christie was and still is truly inspiring! I can only hope l can be as prolific and beloved a writer.
