Enjoyed a good night with Belle & Sebastian at the Jackie Gleason theater last night. Here are a few pics.
You can see the pic of the girl in 'Fold Your Hands, Child, You Walk Like a Peasant' (2000) album in the background screen. I painted one of the girls (left) in that image just for fun a few years later and you can see it above in the blog header. : )
The great thing about going to see a lovely concert is how great you feel. It's wonderful sensations. This theater was beautiful too - art deco with a modernized interior. A lovely crowd too.
Reminded me of when I was seventeen and eighteen and saw three shows a week while I was in college at Emory. Got to see acts like Crowded House, Elvis Costello, Blur, They Might be Giants and so many more. I found a lot of my learning happened outside the classroom.
Liked the portable keyboard Stuart (lead singer) is wearing. I'd play that. : )
