I have been asked many times to share what I think being a successful entrepreneur entails. This is a topic that has a lot of interest these days and also a lot of very qualified Es as I like to call them, speak about quite eloquently. As for me, I am a still a work in progress as an entrepreneur. I still have a lot to learn! Keep that in mind. : )

Well the first thing I would start with is explaining what I think successful for an entrepreneur means:

- Starting and running a business venture that you're good or great at and that's very profitable.

It also usually includes working with other people. Ideally, they're people you respect and collaborate with productively and positively.

Here are some traits and subsequent actions I think that are essential:

1.  Sees things from another person's perspective. Understands what people need and want and offers an effective solution.

2. Assists that person/people and collaborates to meet that need.

3. Focuses on doing and creating solutions to benefit rather than bargaining.

4. Builds positive relationships with a variety of people (partners, allies, friends, family, employees, clients and vendors).

5. Passionate about vision and values yet flexible and pragmatic in the present. Keeps revisiting and revising goals and actions to be in alignment.

6. Knows strengths and weaknesses. Ideally leverages strengths and brings in better qualified people who are adept at the entrepreneur's weaknesses.

7. Hires talent that works well together.

8. Is optimistic.

I also think today that most people can benefit from an entrepreneurial mindset and approach in order to create the lives they want. I hope that helps.
